Children’s birthday parties at EscapeTartu

Organising a child’s birthday party can be quite a headache for parent and child alike. 

Indoor playgrounds have become boring, the kids have outgrown bouncing on trampolines, and so the search is on for a cool new place. 

EscapeTartu is the best choice for exactly that!  Kids always have an exciting time with us, and experience has shown that children really love escape rooms! 

Who is it for? 

EscapeTartu hosts birthday parties for children aged 10 and up.  The reason we have set this limit lies in our  many years of experience organising children’s birthday parties. We have noticed that the puzzles in our rooms are often a little too tricky for younger children. As we always want to give our customers the best possible experience, we settled on this recommended age limit. 

Does that mean there’s nothing for younger kids to do at EscapeTartu?   – Not at all! The age limit is really just a recommendation, and we always want to be very flexible when organising events. We have had calls from parents telling us their child is 9 and absolutely wants to have their birthday party at EscapeTartu. In that case, of course, it’s no problem at all. Still, we always let parents know in advance that the recommended age is 10.  Also, to make the game easier for children, we can leave hints in the room on request. 

How far in advance should you book a children’s birthday party at EscapeTartu? 

There is no exact answer to that question. A great deal depends on the date and time.  The earlier you book, the more certain it is that you can hold the party at the time you want.  

As a rule, we recommend booking 2-3 weeks ahead. But we always try to find suitable times for last-minute planners too. 🙂 

How does a children’s birthday party at EscapeTartu work? 

A birthday party at EscapeTartu lasts about 2.5 hours in total.  First we split the children into groups and send them into the escape rooms. The escape games, including the introduction to the rules, take about 1.5 hours. After the games there is an hour set aside for everyone at the party to swap stories, play, eat cake and so on. 

If, for example, toddlers or parents who aren’t taking part in the escape games also come along to the party, they can spend the time in the seminar/lounge room while the children are in the escape rooms.   

How much does a children’s birthday party at EscapeTartu cost? 

The price of a children’s birthday party at EscapeTartu depends on the number of groups playing. At children’s birthday parties we put 2-6 players in each group.  

An event with 1 group costs 65 EUR 

An event with 2 groups costs 120 EUR 

An event with 3 groups costs 170 EUR

An event with 4 groups costs 215 EUR 

An event with 5 groups costs 250 EUR. 

The price includes the escape games and use of the lounge/seminar room both during the games and for 1 hour afterwards.  

If there are also children or parents at the event who aren’t taking part in the escape games, they don’t affect the price.

What about food and drink? 

EscapeTartu’s policy on food is simple  – you are always welcome to bring your own food and drinks  and enjoy them here. 

Since children’s tastes vary so much, we believe this is the best approach. That way you can always bring along and enjoy your own favourite food and drinks. It’s also convenient and affordable.

1. how many people  are coming to the event and how many of them will be going into an escape room;

2. how old the children are;

3. which escape rooms you would like; 

4. the date and time you would like to hold the event.
